Bio
Gregory Royals is a minister/director of music and general church musician. His gifts are expressed as being a multi-instrumentalist (hammond/pipe organ, drums & acoustic guitar) with his main instrument being the piano. Greg is also a composer, arranger, orchestrator, producer and music teacher (over 30 years of experience) all to the glory of God.
Touring:
Gregory has played regularly at B.B. Kings with the Harlem Gospel Choir and toured with them in the United States, Canada, Japan, Austria, Amsterdam, Ireland, and the Czech Republic; He also toured Bermuda with the Tyrone Birkett Gospel Jazz Band; toured Spain with the Central Baptist Choir; and also toured Italy and Switzerland with the Antony Morgan Choir.
Film Scoring:
Scored the main piano music for the movie “Proud”. Proud is a film written and directed by Mary Pat Kelly, produced by Ally Hilfiger, and stars veteran actor and activist Ossie Davis, in his final film performance. The film focuses on the meritorious service of the USS Mason (DE-529) of World War II, the first US Navy ship with a predominantly African American crew, and how three of the men were finally honored in January 1994 for their commendable service.
